The Context

The world is facing it's largest forced displacement crisis, forcing more than 110 million people across the world to flee their homes. Those who move from protracted conflict and persecution to the European Union in pursuit of safety end up at the EU border countries, such as Greece. Here, they face a devastating reality of violence at borders, camps with inhumane conditions, a lack of legal recognition and countless barriers to accessing their rights.
